Samson Fitzgerald Corini Adopted 4/28/2012 Passed 5/2/2023

On May 2nd 2023 crossed the rainbow bridge suddenly due to Congestive Heart Failure. He was only 13, without any history of medical issues, so his passing was very unexpected. Delilah and I still miss him greatly and I wanted to share a little more about him here.

Samson was truly a one-of-kind cat and he was beloved by all who knew him. He was adorable, chonky, fearless, quirky, cuddly and sweet. He was photogenic and seemed to pose for the camera.

Samson and Delilah were a bonded pair and could often be found cuddled up. They were adopted at the La Brea Tar pits 1 week before my wedding to my now-ex. They weee hosting an adoption event so we decided to “just look” around at after a happy hour and the rest is history.. Samson, I quickly learned, despised being confined in any way, and destroyed the cardboard carrier on the way home. This is the origin of his name - Samson, and Delilah’s too!

Samson was not only strong and determined, but he also loved food, naps, hide & seek, looking out windows? bird watching, sunbathing and lying under the Christmas tree taking in the holiday “vibes.”

He was by my side with unconditional love throughout many life changes: getting married, multiple moves, dealing with chronic illnesses & going on disability, divorce, a pandemic, recovering from procedures & treatments, and so much more! Besides making me laugh with his silly antics, Samson was also sensitive and seemed to know when I was in pain and needed him to be gentle. He also knew when to let me sleep in when I was not feeling well after a treatment, despite his usual begging for food. I have many stories & pictures I could share from our years together!

Samson is deeply missed by Delilah and I, as well as so many others who got to know him. He will forever remain in my heart. Fly free Samson!
